Getting Started

Welcome to the wonderful world of Harvest Moon! This guide will help you get started on your farming adventure.

First Week Tips

1. Clear Your Farm

   • Remove weeds and rocks to make space for crops
   • Chop trees for wood (save some for later upgrades)
   • Clear a small area for your first crops

2. Initial Crops

   • Start with Turnips (4-day growth cycle)
   • Plant near your water source
   • Water daily

3. Foraging

   • Collect wild plants and items daily
   • Check the beach for shells
   • Foraged items can be sold or gifted

Villager Relationships

• Talk to villagers daily to build friendships
• Give gifts on their birthdays
• Attend festivals to meet everyone

Tools and Upgrades

1. Essential Tools

   • Watering Can
   • Hoe
   • Axe
   • Hammer
   • Sickle

2. Upgrade Order

   1. Watering Can (saves energy)
   2. Hammer/Axe (for clearing land)
   3. Hoe (for larger fields)

Making Money

1. Early Game

   • Foraging
   • Fishing
   • Small crops

2. Mid Game

   • Animal products
   • Processed goods (mayo, cheese, etc.)
   • Higher-value crops
